Phlebotomy Technician Certification

An affordable, intensive education awaits

The phlebotomy technician program is a ten-twelve-week course with 300 hours of training, including 70 hours of classroom time, 70 hours of laboratory simulation, and 160 hours of externship. We cap all of our programs to 50 students maximum so that you will always have our highly experienced instructors available. After completing our program, you will be prepared to sit for the Certified Phlebotomy Technician exam.

Requirements: 

  • Must be at least 18 years old 
  • Have a high school diploma, GED, or higher education equivalency 
  • International students must pass the CELSA Test with a 75% passing grade (if applicable).
  • Complete a background inquiry form from https://watch.wsp.wa.gov/WATCH/Home/Index Any record of crimes against persons will prevent an individual from working in this field.
  • Provide documentation of a completed two-steps tuberculosis test. If positive, must get a chest x-ray. 
  • If the student is unable to obtain a Mantoux T.B test, the QuantiFeron blood test will be accepted.
  • Clinical facilities may require additional information, such as MMR and Hepatitis B vaccine.

Program Costs:

  • Tuition: $3,500
  • Registration fee: $100
  • Books: All books must be purchased online information will be given after registration.
  • A phlebotomist’s duties include:

     

    • Collecting patients’ blood samples 
    • Labeling vials with patient names and dates
    • Interpreting requested tests
    • Delivering specimens to labs
    • Working directly with patients and offering excellent care

     

    A phlebotomist’s duties require someone who is both detail-oriented and able to work with patients of all ages. It is a fast-paced field with above-average growth and employment opportunities at a wide variety of healthcare settings, including hospitals, blood banks, and outpatient offices. 

Online Class 

Dates: September 4th to November 28th, 2023

Theory Time: Monday and Tuesday (6:30 pm to 10:30 pm)

Lab Times: Wednesday-Friday (6:30-10:30 pm)

Clinical Times: Monday through Friday (8am-4:30 pm) (6:00-10:30 pm For 11/27 and 11/28)

Theory + Lab (In Person)  (140 hours)
